AOL uses compression as a standard setting to increase the speed while downloading pictures.
You can disable this setting in your AOL preferences. The dialog to change this setting is different from release to release and sometimes depending on national versions.
Search for “JPG compression” or “JPEG compression” in your AOL preferences and switch it to OFF. If it´s too hard to find please contact the AOL support, we cannot help cause there are dozends of releases and national versions of the AOL software.
